Write the return address in small letters on one line in the top left-hand corner or on the back of the envelope. If you want to put the name of a person or business, put this at the top (on the top line) The stamp goes into the top right-hand corner. Write the address in this order. Receiver (person or business) Delivery address.
Do Freepost Envelopes need a stamp? Not in the traditional sense, but they do use the Freepost Envelopes' 1st Class or 2nd Class Indicia in the top right of the artwork. See image above. If you're a charity it's best NOT to ask your patrons donating to you to stick a stamp over the indicia as it will cost your charity extra money by a fine from.

However, often times, people incorrectly use commas and other punctuation in addresses (and dates) which can throw things off.
